Mr. Weitz is the President and Founder of Jilson Advisors an executive search firm specializing in commodities search. He has over a decade of experience, placing top tier candidates in the trading, marketing, strategy, operations and legal areas of major US and European banks, hedge funds and energy companies in the US and Europe. Mr. Weitz has successfully built teams for a select group of clients whom represent the top firms in commodities. Mr Weitz is often called upon to discuss trends in the markets by the leaders of those businesses. 

Mr. Weitz’s recruiting philosophy is straightforward; research, identify, assess and engage the top five professionals in a select area of search and then work closely with the client in closing the selected candidate on the client’s terms.  Mr. Weitz’s knowledge and understanding of these businesses, his well-placed contacts and exhaustive research lists all contribute to his consultative value in a challenging market environment.

In addition to his recruiting efforts, he has also been retained for strategic and comprehensive research assignments. The information gleaned from these industry surveys resulted in his clients engaging Mr. Weitz to help them build and revamp various business units within their organizations.

Prior to forming Jilson Advisors, Mr. Weitz was Managing Director at Cromwell Partners, a retained search firm based in New York, where he was hired to expand the firm’s presence in commodities search.

Mr. Weitz was born and raised in New York.  He has a Bachelors degree in Political Science from Adelphi University and resides in Connecticut with his wife and family.
